What should I do if a sign has been damaged, knocked over, or moved?
Last updated: April 15, 2026
Context
You've found a sign that has been physically displaced, whether knocked over by wind, hit by a vehicle, or shifted out of position.
Answer
Autolane signs are freestanding with weighted bases, so they can occasionally be affected by wind, accidental contact, or nearby construction activity.
If a sign has been knocked over or significantly displaced:
Do not attempt to reposition or repair the sign yourself.
Note the sign location and take a photo if possible.
Contact your Autolane representative or email support@goautolane.com directly with the location and photo.
If a sign is visibly damaged: Contact your Autolane representative immediately. Autolane will assess whether the sign can be repaired on-site or needs replacement. Replacement units are typically deployed within one week.
Will there be downtime? If the camera is still operational (for example, the sign was just rotated), data collection continues. If the sign is offline, there will be a gap in data for that zone until it's restored.
